Internal Business App Developer / Technical Implementation Partner

Project Type Contract / freelance project Potential for ongoing support after initial build Project Overview I own and operate a commercial construction business and have created the first draft of an internal business app concept. The current draft is built around a JSON file / app structure, but I need help from someone technical who can take the concept and turn it into a real, working application for internal company use. This is not currently intended to be a public consumer app. The goal is to create a secure, simple, reliable internal tool that our company team can use to improve workflow, project tracking, communication, and day-to-day operations. I am looking for someone who can review what I have, recommend the right technical path, build or rebuild the app properly, help choose the right hosting environment, and potentially help deploy it for private company use on iOS. What I Need Help With The right person should be able to help with: Reviewing the current JSON file / app draft and understanding the structure Understanding the business workflow and translating it into a usable app Recommending the right technology stack Determining the best hosting platform and database setup Building or rebuilding the web app and/or admin dashboard Creating secure login access for internal company users Setting up user roles and permissions if needed Helping determine whether the app should be web-based, iOS-based, or both Advising on or building a private iOS app for company-only use Setting up hosting, deployment, backups, and basic security practices Testing the app with our team and making revisions based on feedback Providing basic documentation so the app can be maintained and improved over time Ideal Candidate I am looking for someone who is practical, clear, and able to guide a non-technical business owner through the process. The ideal person is not just a coder, but someone who can help make smart decisions about implementation, hosting, deployment, security, and long-term usability. A strong fit would have experience with: Web app development Internal business tools JSON structures and workflow-based apps Backend development and databases Hosting platforms such as Vercel, Render, Railway, AWS, Firebase, Supabase, or similar Authentication and user permissions Turning prototypes into production-ready tools Simple, user-friendly app design for non-technical users iOS app deployment or private/internal company app distribution Experience with construction, project management, CRM systems, field operations, or business workflow apps is a plus, but not required. Helpful Technical Skills I am open to recommendations on the best tech stack, but experience with any of the following would be helpful: JavaScript / TypeScript React / Next.js Node.js Supabase / Firebase PostgreSQL Swift / SwiftUI React Native or Expo API development GitHub Cloud hosting and deployment App Store / private iOS app distribution Internal tool platforms or low-code tools when appropriate I am not locked into a specific platform. I want the right person to evaluate the current draft and recommend the best path based on simplicity, cost, security, scalability, and ease of use. What Success Looks Like A successful project would include: A review of the current app draft and JSON structure A clear recommended development plan A working internal web app or app prototype Secure login access for company users A clean and simple user interface Reliable hosting and deployment Basic database setup A plan for private iOS use, if appropriate Testing and revisions based on real company use Basic documentation for future updates and maintenance Important Notes I am a business owner, not a software developer. I need someone who can explain technical decisions clearly, communicate well, and help me understand the best path forward. I am open to building this in phases. The first priority is to get a functional version that works for internal company use. After that, there may be additional features, improvements, and ongoing support needed.
