Senior AI Systems Engineer / Full Stack Architect (Node.js / React

We are a fast-growing U.S. mortgage and real estate finance company focused on operational excellence, automation, and AI-driven systems. Our goal is to automate and optimize internal business operations using AI, intelligent workflows, custom integrations, and scalable internal tools. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to help architect and build the next generation of our internal systems. This is not a traditional developer role. We are looking for someone who thinks like a systems architect, moves fast, and enjoys solving complex business problems through automation and AI. What You Will Build You will help design and develop: AI-powered internal tools and assistants Workflow automation systems CRM and mortgage process automation Document intelligence & data extraction systems API integrations and internal dashboards Smart operational workflows across multiple departments Scalable backend architecture for business automation Required Technical Stack Languages ✅ TypeScript (5+ years) ✅ JavaScript (expert) ✅ SQL / PostgreSQL (advanced) ✅ HTML / CSS ✅ XML (important – MISMO 3.4 is a plus) Frameworks & Backend ✅ Node.js (expert) ✅ Express.js or Hono ✅ React / Next.js ✅ Prisma or similar ORM ✅ Git / GitHub ✅ Vercel deployment AI / LLM Experience ✅ Production experience with Anthropic Claude API or OpenAI APIs ✅ Prompt engineering (advanced) ✅ Tool use / function calling ✅ Multi-turn conversation systems ✅ Token optimization ✅ AI workflow orchestration Integrations ✅ REST APIs ✅ OAuth 2.0 ✅ Webhooks ✅ Third-party API integrations ✅ Database architecture Strong Plus ➕ Mortgage / fintech experience ➕ MISMO 3.4 familiarity ➕ Experience with document processing or underwriting systems ➕ PDF/XML generation ➕ Workflow automation mindset Who You Are Senior-level problem solver Highly autonomous and fast executor Strong systems thinker Able to turn messy business processes into scalable automation Comfortable working directly with leadership Thinks in solutions, not excuses Compensation $10–$30/hour (LATAM) Based on experience, architecture level, and proven AI production experience.
