# AI / Computer Vision Developer Needed to Finalize Estimating Software We are looking for an experienced AI / Computer Vision developer to help us finalize an estimating software platform. The majority of the application is already built and working well. Our text extraction pipeline is performing strongly, and we are now looking for someone with deep experience in computer vision to help solve the remaining challenge: reliable symbol detection and recognition from technical drawings. ### Current Tech Stack * Python * OpenCV * Electron * OCR/Text Extraction Pipeline * AI-assisted workflows * Git ### What We Need We are looking for someone who has real experience with: * Computer Vision * Symbol detection and recognition * Object detection models * Image preprocessing * Training custom detection models where appropriate * Improving accuracy across varying image quality and drawing styles We're open to the best technical approach. Whether that's training a custom model, implementing a different computer vision pipeline, template matching where appropriate, or another solution, we're looking for someone who can evaluate the problem and recommend the most effective architecture. ### Ideal Candidate * Strong Python developer * Extensive OpenCV experience * Experience with object detection (YOLO, Detectron2, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) * Has built production-ready AI/computer vision systems * Can analyse an existing codebase and improve it rather than starting from scratch * Good communicator who can explain technical decisions ### Project This is not a greenfield project. Approximately 90–95% of the software is complete. We need an experienced developer who can come in, understand the existing architecture, and help solve the final computer vision challenges before launch.
