Precise Logistic J1, LLC is seeking an expert-level Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computational Engineering Consultant to support high-fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation modeling for our advanced R&D track. We require a specialized engineer to construct, mesh, and execute multi-phase boundary-layer simulations utilizing open-source solver environments (OpenFOAM or SU2).
This is a fixed-price project strictly tied to two distinct deliverables to align with our corporate grant roadmap. High proficiency in fluid physics, Navier-Stokes discretization, and mesh generation is mandatory.
Project Scope & Technical Parameters:
Primary Objective: Validate multiphase boundary-layer dynamics and flow stability constraints under precise fluid constants.
Target Fluid Matrix Constants: Density ρ = 1.10 g/cm³, Dynamic Viscosity μ = 3.5–6.0 mPa·s.
Fixed-Price Contract Milestone Structure:
Milestone 1 (Initial Setup & Grid Assembly):
Import CAD/geometric parameters, build high-fidelity spatial mesh refinement (capturing fine boundary-layer gradients), configure the open-source solver parameters, and deliver a successful 0-iteration initial test showing clean execution and no code/solver errors.
Milestone 2 (Simulation Run, Convergence, & Technical Deliverables):
Execute the simulation run to complete mathematical convergence. Deliver full post-processing visualization charts (velocity vectors, pressure distributions, flow stability mapping) and a clean technical scope memorandum detailing the mathematical methodology, grid independence studies, and verification metrics suitable for a professional engineering index.
Requirements:
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D. level preferred) in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or Computational Fluid Mechanics.
Prior experience writing or modifying custom open-source CFD solver scripts (Python, Fortran, C++).
Must provide an independent contractor statement of work (SOW) structure and brief professional bio for project onboarding tracking.
