WordPress Developer Needed to Convert Custom Pages to Gutenberg Block Editor

Project Overview: Born This Way Foundation is seeking an experienced WordPress developer to help transition portions of three existing websites from hard-coded page structures to a more flexible Gutenberg Block Editor experience. This is not a website redesign. Our goal is to preserve the existing design while making it easier for our internal team to update content, layouts, images, and calls-to-action without requiring developer support for routine changes. Channel Kindness: (https://www.channelkindness.org/) 3. #BeKind365: (https://bekind365.world/) Scope of Work We're looking for someone who can: • Convert hard-coded page layouts into editable Gutenberg blocks. • Create reusable page components for non-technical staff. • Preserve the existing front-end design. • Improve long-term maintainability and support accessibility best practices. Examples of updates we'd like to manage internally include: • Updating images and graphics • Swapping calls-to-action • Showing or hiding page sections • Editing messaging • Reordering content • Updating team member pages We'll likely begin with a small pilot project of updating up to two pages. Qualifications We're looking for someone with experience in: • WordPress development • Gutenberg Block Editor • Custom blocks and/or ACF • PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS • Responsive development • WCAG/ADA accessibility Experience modernizing existing WordPress websites is strongly preferred.
