Part-Time Product Engineer - React, Supabase & Strong SaaS UI/UX I’m building a live B2B SaaS platform for companies managing multi-unit installation projects. The product has users and an established codebase. I’m looking for one long-term, part-time product engineer who can take ownership of ongoing development so I can focus more of my time on sales and customers. This is not a role for someone who only waits for detailed instructions. I need someone who can understand a workflow, identify what is confusing or visually weak, propose a better solution, estimate the work, and implement it completely. Current stack React TypeScript Vite Tailwind CSS shadcn/ui Supabase PostgreSQL Supabase Auth, Storage and RLS Vercel GitHub What you would do Build new features from the database through the user interface Improve existing workflows and user experience Make the application look more polished and professional Create responsive interfaces for desktop and mobile Maintain and improve reusable components Work with Supabase tables, SQL, functions, Auth, Storage and RLS Investigate and fix bugs Test changes in staging before production Review existing code and recommend practical improvements Communicate estimates, risks, progress and blockers clearly The product includes projects, buildings, sections, units, installation tracking, photos, notes, reports, customer access, installer access and organization-based user roles. Who I’m looking for You should have strong experience with: React and TypeScript Building polished B2B SaaS dashboards or operational software Tailwind CSS and reusable component systems Supabase and PostgreSQL Authentication and role-based permissions Responsive UI and mobile workflows Working safely inside an existing production codebase Git branches, staging environments and releases Strong visual and product judgment is important. You do not need to be a traditional graphic designer, but you should be able to recognize weak UI and improve it without receiving a complete Figma design. Engagement Long-term, part-time contract Approximately 5–10 hours per week initially No guaranteed minimum number of hours Hours may increase later only if the relationship is working well and we both agree Hourly contract Some overlap with U.S. Eastern Time is preferred Budget approximately $25–$45 per hour, depending on experience, independence and quality Worldwide applicants are welcome No agencies or subcontracting—I want to work directly with the person performing the work Transparency and pricing Transparency is extremely important to me. I am self-funded and need to understand what work is being done and what it is likely to cost. I expect you to: Provide a realistic estimate before starting each meaningful task Explain what is included and what could increase the estimate Tell me before continuing when the scope or estimate changes Track time accurately and clearly describe the work performed Provide regular progress updates Avoid spending many hours investigating something without notifying me Be direct when something is outside your expertise Recommend simpler or less expensive solutions when appropriate I am not automatically looking for the lowest hourly rate. I am looking for someone who provides strong value, works independently and does not create surprise bills. First paid trial The first step will be a small paid trial involving one real workflow in the staging environment. You will be asked to: Review the existing workflow. Identify the main UI, UX and technical problems. Propose a practical improvement. Estimate the time and cost before implementation. Implement the approved solution. Explain what changed and how it was tested. The trial will help determine whether we work well together before starting an ongoing relationship. To apply Please include: Two or three live SaaS products or dashboards you personally worked on. Exactly what you designed and coded in each example. Your hands-on experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, Auth and RLS. An example of a screen or workflow you improved without receiving a complete design. Your weekly availability and normal working hours. How you estimate work and notify clients when a task begins taking longer than expected. Confirmation that you personally perform all work. Please begin your proposal with the words “Eiyda Product Engineer” so I know you read the complete post.
