I need a complete ANSYS Fluent analysis of a 1 500 mm coaxial ducted fan, modelled with the Actuator Disk approach. The goal is to predict thrust, pressure recovery, torque and overall aerodynamic performance so I can compare the results against empirical data already gathered from bench tests. Scope • Build or refine a clean 3-D model of the duct, spinner and hub (blades will be represented by an actuator disk). • Generate a high-quality mesh that resolves boundary layers inside the duct and minimises numerical diffusion in the wake. • Select an appropriate turbulence model for this application and justify the choice. • Run steady-state simulations first; if convergence flags unsteady behaviour, include a transient follow-up. • Post-process to deliver detailed contours and plots of pressure, velocity and streamlines, plus integral values of thrust, torque and efficiency. • Provide a succinct report (PDF) explaining set-up assumptions, solver settings, mesh independence check and key findings, along with the original work files (*.msh, *.cas, *.dat, *.wbpz). Acceptance Criteria 1. Residuals below 1 × 10⁻⁴ (or better) with balanced mass flow. 2. Mesh independence demonstrated by less than 2 % change in predicted thrust between the last two grid levels. 3. Delivered thrust prediction within ±5 % of my experimental figure at the reference operating point. Tools: ANSYS Fluent 2021 R2 or later, CFD-Post, and any auxiliary scripting (e.g. Python or Scheme) you find useful—all to be handed over. I will share geometry specifics, boundary conditions and test data once we start. Let me know your expected turnaround time and any clarifications you need before committing.
