Fix broken Python backend deployment (Railway/Flask) — quick, well-scoped job
I'm a solopreneur running a small coaching business, and this is the centerpiece of my business — a lead magnet assessment tool that's currently broken. I have a working front-end (a simple 4-question quiz, hosted on Netlify) that calls a Python backend to generate AI-based results. The backend is currently down.
The problem:
The backend was previously deployed on Railway by a freelancer I no longer have access to
I do not have login credentials for that Railway account
Browser dev tools confirm the front-end request returns a 404 and CORS error when trying to reach: https://web-production-3a404.up.railway.app/assess
What I have:
Full GitHub access to the existing backend code repository (3 files: main.py, requirements.txt, Procfile — appears to be Flask or FastAPI)
Full Netlify access (front-end)
Working API credits ready to use, confirmed available
What I need:
Redeploy the existing backend code from GitHub to Railway (or a platform you'd recommend) under an account I fully own
Update the front-end so it correctly points to the new backend URL
Test end-to-end to confirm the assessment successfully returns results
Hand over full login credentials/ownership for any new hosting account created
This is a well-defined, scoped job — the code exists in my GitHub repo and previously worked, it just needs to be redeployed under my own account. Looking for someone experienced with Python backend deployment (Flask/FastAPI), GitHub, and Railway or similar platforms (Render, Heroku).
Please mention your experience with Railway or similar deployment platforms in your proposal.
Thank you!
