Senior / Lead React Native & Expo Engineer for Marketplace MVP

Hi, I’m the founder of an early-stage fitness marketplace and am looking for an exceptional Senior/Lead Engineer to become my primary technical counterpart for bringing the product to market. We currently have an unfinished native iOS app (SwiftUI), a Lovable web app, and a shared Firebase backend. The first step will be to review the existing setup and determine what should be kept, refactored, or rebuilt. The goal is then to build and launch a focused, secure, and monetizable MVP. I’m looking for someone with strong production experience in: - React Native, Expo & TypeScript - Firebase and backend architecture - Stripe Connect / marketplace payments - Maps and location-based products - Testing, CI/CD, and App Store releases - AI-assisted development with tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor Previous experience building and shipping marketplace apps is highly preferred. I’m not looking for an agency or a developer who simply works through tickets. I’m looking for a highly autonomous senior engineer who can challenge technical decisions, simplify the MVP, take ownership, and personally lead the product to release. The engagement would begin with a paid technical audit of the existing product. If we work well together, the goal is to continue directly into MVP development.
