We are looking for an experienced Twilio developer to build a reliable, compliance-focused SMS delivery system similar in functionality to platforms such as Launch Control.
The system must intelligently queue and throttle outbound SMS messages to protect deliverability, comply with carrier requirements, and reduce the risk of messages being filtered or blocked.
Project Requirements
The developer should be able to build or configure:
SMS message queueing and controlled delivery speeds
Adjustable throttling by phone number, campaign, messaging service, and carrier limits
Twilio Messaging Services integration
A2P 10DLC campaign and phone-number configuration
Automatic opt-out handling for STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and similar keywords
Suppression lists to prevent messaging opted-out or restricted contacts
Quiet-hour and time-zone controls
Message frequency limits per recipient
Duplicate-message prevention
Delivery-status tracking through Twilio webhooks
Monitoring for failed, filtered, blocked, or undelivered messages
Automatic pausing when error rates or complaint levels increase
Dashboard or reporting showing sent, delivered, failed, opted-out, and queued messages
API or CRM integration for uploading leads and initiating campaigns
The ability to assign specific local area codes and sending phone numbers to individual properties or markets, so each property only sends messages from its approved local numbers
Secure storage and proper handling of contact data
Documentation explaining how to operate and maintain the system
We are not looking for a basic Twilio SMS setup. We need someone who understands high-volume SMS architecture, carrier compliance, message queueing, deliverability, and the current A2P messaging environment.
Experience with Twilio, Telnyx, AWS SQS, Redis, Node.js, Python, PHP, webhooks, CRMs, or similar SMS platforms is preferred.
When Applying, Please begin your proposal with the words “Twilio 2026” so we know you carefully reviewed the project.
