I need an independent senior Python developer or scientific software engineer to audit a small scientific research application. The project is a Python-based decision and validation engine. The assignment is strictly limited to software quality, testing, reproducibility and technical behaviour. No knowledge of astrology, Sanskrit, history or astronomy is required. Current technical status: - 5 Python source files - 4 test files - 3 real research-case JSON files - 43/43 automated tests passing - Main project and isolated audit snapshot both pass 43/43 tests - SHA-256 checksum manifest: 40/40 verified - Deterministic output checks - Input validation and malformed-input handling - Complete source snapshot and audit documentation Requested review: 1. Run the existing test suite independently. 2. Review the decision logic and confirm that it uses general rules rather than hidden case-specific logic. 3. Review RESOLVED and UNRESOLVED decision behaviour. 4. Assess input validation, error handling and deterministic output. 5. Evaluate test quality and identify missing or weak tests. 6. Identify maintainability, file-system, security or resource-usage risks. 7. Confirm whether the documentation accurately reflects the implementation. 8. Provide a concise written audit report in professional English.
