Python Developer Needed – Update & Fix Windows Automation Application

Job Description: I’m looking for an experienced Python developer to update, improve, and fix an existing Windows-based automation application. The application is already functional but needs someone who can understand the existing codebase, troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and make it more stable and reliable. Responsibilities * Review and understand the existing Python application * Fix bugs and stability issues * Update the application to work with current software dependencies * Improve reliability and error handling * Refactor code where appropriate * Implement new features as requested * Test thoroughly on Windows before delivery * Document any significant changes made Required Skills * Strong Python experience (3+ years preferred) * Windows application development * Experience debugging existing codebases * GUI automation and/or computer automation experience * Experience with libraries such as: * PyAutoGUI * OpenCV * Pillow * PyWin32 * pynput * pywinauto * OCR (Tesseract or EasyOCR) is a plus * Git/version control * Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills Nice to Have * Experience building automation tools * Familiarity with computer vision * Experience packaging Python applications for Windows (PyInstaller, Nuitka, etc.) * Ability to optimize application performance Project Details * Existing application (not starting from scratch) * Windows 10/11 * Initial project is to update and stabilize the software. * Additional work is available if the first project goes well.
