WooCommerce E-Commerce Store Designer & Developer

We are looking for an experienced WooCommerce designer and developer to help design, build, improve, and maintain professional e-commerce stores. The ideal candidate should be highly experienced with WordPress and WooCommerce and capable of handling both the visual design and technical development of an online store. We are looking for someone who can create websites that are modern, fast, secure, mobile-friendly, and optimized for conversions. Privacy and confidentiality are extremely important. The selected freelancer may have access to sensitive business information, website credentials, customer-related data, payment settings, and internal systems. You must be professional, trustworthy, and willing to sign a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement before receiving access. Responsibilities: - Design and build WooCommerce stores from start to finish - Improve and redesign existing WooCommerce websites - Customize WordPress themes, templates, and page layouts - Create professional product, category, cart, and checkout pages - Configure products, variations, pricing, coupons, taxes, and shipping - Install, configure, and troubleshoot WooCommerce plugins - Improve website speed, performance, security, and mobile responsiveness - Resolve plugin conflicts, checkout errors, and other technical issues - Integrate payment gateways and third-party platforms - Implement conversion-focused design improvements - Maintain staging, backup, and production environments - Provide ongoing technical support when required Strong experience working with Stripe is highly preferred. This may include: - Setting up and configuring Stripe with WooCommerce - Troubleshooting failed payments and checkout issues - Configuring webhooks and payment notifications - Working with Stripe subscriptions and recurring payments - Reviewing payment flows and customer checkout experiences - Understanding refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and payment security - Integrating Stripe-related WooCommerce plugins or custom functionality Required Experience: - Proven experience designing and developing WooCommerce stores - Strong knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce - Experience with HTML, CSS, and basic PHP - Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar page builders - Experience configuring payment gateways, shipping, and taxes - Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design - Experience improving website speed and Core Web Vitals - Ability to troubleshoot WooCommerce and WordPress issues independently - Strong attention to detail - Clear and reliable communication - Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive information Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced Stripe and WooCommerce integration experience - Experience with custom WooCommerce development - Experience with subscription, wholesale, or international e-commerce stores - Knowledge of conversion-rate optimization and SEO - Experience with Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ShipStation, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar platforms - Familiarity with website security, backups, staging environments, hosting, and domain migrations - Experience working with high-volume e-commerce stores
