Expert Full-Stack Mobile Developer (Flutter/React Native) for Event Discovery App

Job Description ​Project Overview: We are looking for a talented, experienced Full-Stack Mobile Developer to build an event discovery application for iOS and Android, similar to Sympla. The app will allow end-users to find major local events via a Google Maps interface, filter by category/date, and view highlighted events. Crucially, the platform will also require a secure backend/interface for venue owners to log in, create events, and upload their own promotional banners and artistic images. ​This is an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) launch, but we are looking for a developer who writes clean, scalable code for future feature expansions (such as ticketing). ​Key Features to Build: ​Cross-Platform Mobile App: Smooth, high-performance UI for both iOS and Android. ​Map-Centric Discovery: Deep integration with Google Maps API (user location tracking, custom map markers for events, and marker clustering). ​Search & Filtering: Advanced filters for users to sort events by specific dates, ranges, and categories. ​Dynamic UI Elements: "Top 5 Highlights" carousel/banner section on the home screen. ​Venue/Partner Dashboard: A secure interface (web-based portal or in-app dashboard) where venues can register, log in, manage their profiles, and upload event details. ​Cloud Storage Integration: Robust handling of image uploads (banners, posters) optimized for fast loading and low data consumption. ​Required Technical Skills: ​Mobile: Flutter or React Native ​Maps: Google Maps API, Geolocation, and Geocoding ​Backend & DB: Firebase (preferred for fast MVP), Node.js, or Python. SQL or NoSQL database management. ​Cloud Storage: Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage ​UI/UX: State management (Redux, Provider, Bloc), caching images, and handling dynamic content layouts. ​Preferred Qualifications: ​Prior experience building marketplace, directory, or event-based applications. ​Experience building apps with dual user-roles (e.g., standard users vs. business/venue owners). ​A proven track record of successfully launching apps on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
