Death is inevitable. Chaos is optional. That's not a slogan to us. It's the reason Otherside Life exists. We're building the operating system for the end of life — the infrastructure that catches families in the hardest chapter they'll ever live through, so they can be present for what matters instead of drowning in logistics, paperwork, and fear. This role is on the product that starts at the beginning of that journey: a death preparation platform that helps people get ready before the storm arrives. It spans journaling and capturing memories, assessing personal financial preparedness. Real product, real users, real stakes. Every person who touches what you build is either preparing for their own death, helping someone they love prepare, or trying to make sense of a future that scares them. There is no low-stakes screen here. You'll work directly alongside our Head of Product. Small team, fast decisions, no bureaucracy between an idea and a shipped feature. Who we're looking for A senior full stack developer who has shipped real web applications and can be trusted to own them end to end. Someone who writes clean, tested, maintainable code — and who can also step back and provide technical guidance on architecture, tradeoffs, and what to build next. You've done this before. You don't need hand-holding, and you're not afraid to say when something is the wrong call. You care about craft. You care about the people on the other side of the screen. And you can move quickly without breaking the things that matter. What you'll do Build, test, and ship features on the death preparation platform end to end Own and manage a sprint schedule — planning, testing, and deploying new features on a predictable cadence Provide technical guidance on architecture, stack decisions, and product direction Design and implement AI-powered workflows inside the product, including agentic AI patterns Keep the codebase healthy: code review, testing discipline, sane deployment practices Stack & requirements Next.js — deep, production-level experience Supabase — database, auth, storage Vercel — deployment and hosting GitHub — version control and collaborative workflow Proven track record shipping and maintaining web applications in production Comfortable owning a sprint cycle: testing and deploying features reliably Hands-on experience with agentic AI and integrating AI workflows into digital products Senior-level judgment — able to advise, not just execute
