Senior Back-End Engineer | Cloud & Distributed Systems (Bilingual EN/ES)

We are looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-native backend systems that power high-traffic, mission-critical applications used by millions of users worldwide. You will develop and maintain distributed services that handle large-scale API traffic with high availability, performance, and security. This role requires full ownership of backend services from design and development to deployment, monitoring, and production support. You will collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable and efficient backend solutions aligned with business needs. Strong experience in RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems concepts such as consistency, fault tolerance, and concurrency is required. You should have advanced experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling for high-scale systems. Experience with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices is essential. Solid understanding of network protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS) and backend performance optimization is expected. You should be proficient in backend development using languages such as Java, Python, Golang, Node.js, Scala, or similar. This is a fully remote role within a global engineering team working on enterprise-grade digital platforms.
