Project Overview I’m building a travel website where users can search and compare hotels in different cities based on several criteria such as comfort, location, and facilities. The goal is to create a simplified hotel discovery platform with a strong focus on clear ratings and easy comparison. Key Features 1. Search Functionality Users can search hotels by city (e.g. Paris, London, Bangkok) 2. Filters Rating score Price range Location (distance to city center) 3. Results Page List of hotels Sorted by rating by default Each hotel card should display: Hotel name Image Key scores (comfort, location, facilities) Overall score 4. Hotel Detail Page Full breakdown of scores: Comfort Location Facilities Final aggregated score 5. User Reviews Users can leave reviews (login required) Each review includes ratings for: Comfort Location Facilities Scoring Logic Final Score = (Comfort + Location + Facilities) / 3 🗄️ Data & Backend Use a hotel API (e.g. Amadeus or similar) Store data in a scalable database Must support 10,000+ hotels Tech Requirements Open to suggestions, but ideally: Frontend: modern web framework (React or similar) Backend/database: scalable solution (e.g. Supabase, Firebase, etc.) Design Clean, modern UI (travel website style) Homepage with: Large search bar Simple, premium feel Mobile responsive Performance Fast search and filtering Only display top results (e.g. 50–100 per search) Deliverables Fully working website Database setup Search + filters working Review system Basic UI
