Senior Full-Stack Developer (Freelance) - Ongoing long term

We're looking for a senior full-stack developer to join us on an ongoing basis - bug fixes, maintenance, and feature development for a live product with paying users. About the product: We're Peko, an Israeli SaaS company dedicated to empowering freelancers to build sustainable, thriving businesses. We're seeking a skilled developer to join our team for long-term collaboration, helping us deliver innovative features and maintain our platform's quality. Tech stack: Frontend: React, TypeScript, react-query, MobX — hosted on Railway Backend: Node.js, Fastify, PostgreSQL — hosted on Railway Key Considerations Our product interface is in Hebrew, so you'll need to be comfortable asking for clarification when needed and working collaboratively through any language barriers. All project communication will be conducted exclusively through Upwork chat and Trello. What We're Looking For We need a full-time freelancer (those with additional employment need not apply) who brings: 3+ years of React web application development experience Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript Strong full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL Experience with Railway is a must Experience with MobX and Formik are advantages Hands-on experience working with AI-assisted development tools, specifically Claude Code - this is part of our current workflow and non-negotiable Commitment to exceptional code quality Strong communication - clear, proactive, and responsive. You flag problems early, explain technical decisions in plain language, and don't go quiet.
