Summary
A strong software engineer focused on quality, responsible for designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests across backend, frontend, APIs, and data systems, while helping own test infrastructure, CI reliability, and release quality.
Description
You will work closely with the engineering team to build automated test coverage across the product, review new features for edge cases and failure modes, reproduce and debug issues, and improve the systems used to validate software before it reaches production.
This is an engineering-heavy QA role. You should be comfortable reading production code, reviewing pull requests, debugging complex systems, and writing high-quality test automation.
Responsibilities
- Test automation framework design and development
- Backend, API, frontend, and end-to-end test automation
- Writing and maintaining integration and regression tests
- Reviewing features and pull requests for bugs, edge cases, and failure modes
- Debugging and reproducing complex software issues
- CI/CD test pipeline configuration and maintenance
- Building test fixtures, mocks, tooling, and test environments
- Improving test coverage and release reliability
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, SDET, or Automation Engineer
- Strong software engineering and debugging fundamentals
- Proficiency with Python and Pytest
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools
- Experience testing backend APIs and modern web applications
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of automated testing architecture and best practices
- Experience with Git, code review, and collaborative development workflows
- Shell scripting and command-line proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong QA Engineering or SDET background
- Experience with TypeScript and React
- Experience testing distributed or asynchronous systems
- Experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, and Docker
- Security testing experience
- Familiarity with blockchain or financial technology systems
- Familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot
