Senior Python Data Engineer – Real Estate Data Pipelines, Scraping & Geospatial (France)

We are building a real estate intelligence platform starting with Île-de-France. The first objective is to build a backend that combines historical property transaction data (French DVF) with live property listings to identify statistically unusual investment opportunities. This is a backend-first project. We are not building the frontend yet. Initial responsibilities: Build ETL pipelines for French DVF data Design and optimize a PostgreSQL database Normalize addresses and property records Ingest live real estate listings Match listings with historical transactions Calculate local price-per-square-meter baselines Produce ranked pricing anomaly datasets Build a clean data architecture that can later expand to Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands Required skills: Python PostgreSQL Pandas / Polars ETL pipelines Web scraping (Playwright, Scrapy or BeautifulSoup) APIs Data normalization SQL Nice to have: GIS / Geospatial experience Marketplace or real estate datasets Docker PostGIS Property valuation or mapping experience This project will begin with a paid technical test. Candidates who perform well will continue into the main development phase.
