Senior Backend Engineer (NestJS/PostgreSQL) – Premium Security & IoT PlatformJob Description: We are a global technology brand building a safety wearable and a security platform. We are moving away from traditional, boring GPS tracking interfaces to build an intelligent, sci-fi-inspired security companion (think Jarvis/Iron Man aesthetics).We have finalized our core architecture and are utilizing an enterprise third-party telematics engine. We are not building a tracking backend or device management from scratch. Instead, your focus will be building a high-performance, premium backend application that consumes robust upstream APIs and processes real-time webhooks.🛠️ Our Tech Stack:Framework: Node.js / NestJS (TypeScript)Database: PostgreSQLCaching & Session: RedisMessage Broker: Kafka or RabbitMQ (for ingestion of real-time telemetry streams)🚀 Key Responsibilities & Features to Build:API & Webhook Integration: Ingest and process high-throughput real-time location data, device status (battery, connectivity), and alerts from our telematics provider.Core App Services: Build scalable APIs for user onboarding, Guardian Pin registration, geofence management, emergency contact systems, and a family dashboard.Real-time Event Engine: Power an instant SOS trigger interface, real-time push notifications, and a chronological history/event timeline. What We Are Looking For:Expert-level experience with NestJS, TypeScript, and designing clean architectural patterns.Deep understanding of PostgreSQL (query optimization, spatial data indexing/PostGIS is a massive plus).Hands-on experience handling high-volume webhooks and message queues (Kafka or RabbitMQ).Previous experience integrating with heavy IoT, hardware, or telematics third-party APIs.Ability to write clean, highly secure code for sensitive user safety data.
