Shopware 6 Developer (PHP) – E-commerce Website Rebuild

Overview: We are a small, friendly, UK-based digital media agency looking for an experienced Shopware 6 developer to help rebuild a new version, of an existing eCommerce website, for one of our clients, an established European company that sells car parts online. We may also ask the developer to assist with updates and maintenance to the existing site, prior to the new site launching. This is the first phase of a potentially larger project. If the rebuild is delivered successfully, the client intends to launch additional Shopware 6 websites across several other European markets, creating the potential for a long-term working relationship. What we need: We are looking for a developer who: * Has strong commercial experience with Shopware 6 * Has solid PHP programming skills * Can work confidently with Shopware plugins, customisations, APIs, and theme development * Understands e-commerce best practices, performance, and scalability * Communicates clearly in English and can collaborate with our agency team based in the UK and India. Other European language skills would be considered a bonus and should be mentioned in your proposal. Essential requirement: Please provide evidence of recent Shopware 6 work. Your proposal must include: * Examples of Shopware 6 websites you have worked on previously, ideally with links to the live sites * A brief description of your role in each project * Details of any custom Shopware 6 development, plugin/extension integration/development, or PHP work completed Proposals without relevant Shopware 6 examples will not be considered. Project scope (initial phase) The initial project involves: * Making maintenance changes and small updates to the client's existing Shopware 6 website. * Rebuilding a new version of the client’s existing car parts e-commerce website in Shopware 6 * Implementing required design and functionality changes, working with our UX designer * Supporting migration/integration work where necessary * Ensuring the site is stable, secure, and ready for growth A more detailed specification will be provided to shortlisted candidates. Future opportunities: The client plans to expand into multiple European markets following the successful launch of the first updated site.
