Looking for a data developer who actually knows ACES/PIES — not someone who just read about it.
I sell automotive repair-part kits and need a pipeline that turns my kit templates into real, vehicle-specific kits from my ACES/PIES data.
THE JOB
Take my kit templates (e.g. brake kit = rotors + pads + hardware) and output the actual part numbers for every vehicle each kit fits — correct fitment, backup parts, and a flag list for anything questionable.
I ALREADY HAVE
~29 kit templates with each part mapped to its PCdb PartTerminologyID, my ACES/PIES data, VCdb/PCdb/Qdb, and a live availability feed. I import to my store myself.
DELIVERABLES
- Python pipeline: for each kit x vehicle, pull part numbers reconciled to the SAME vehicle config — not just the same base vehicle.
- Backups ranked by availability, but each must re-pass ACES fitment, not just be a PIES interchange.
- Supersession resolved (no dead part numbers).
- Clean kit CSV + an exception list. Re-runnable, not a throwaway script.
MUST HAVE
Real ACES/PIES + VCdb/PCdb/Qdb experience, strong Python/SQL, fitment reconciliation.
We start with a small PAID PILOT — a few kits across a few platforms — before the full catalog. Tell me how you'd run the pilot.
Answer the screening questions or I'll skip the proposal.
