Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist for a part-time engagement focused on predictive modeling, machine learning, forecasting, and advanced analytics. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently with large and complex datasets, build reliable machine learning models, and translate technical findings into clear business recommendations for stakeholders. What You'll Be Doing You'll be responsible for developing data science and machine learning solutions that help turn complex datasets into actionable business insights. 1. Develop and validate machine learning models 2. Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering 3. Build predictive forecasting solutions 4. Generate actionable business insights from data 5. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams 6. Present findings and recommendations clearly to leadership and project teams Who We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning. You should have strong experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics, with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate complex data into actionable insights. Technical skills we expect: 1. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL 2.Experience with Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, or similar ML frameworks 3. Strong understanding of regression, forecasting, and predictive modeling 4. Experience with feature engineering, model evaluation, and model tuning 5. Experience working with large and complex datasets 6. Strong statistical and analytical skills 7. Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders Nice to have: 1. Experience with AWS (SageMaker, S3, Glue, or Athena) 2. Experience with time-series forecasting 3. Knowledge of Explainable AI, including SHAP, feature importance, or similar methods 4. Experience with IoT, sensor, or operational datasets 5. Experience with Power BI or Tableau 6. Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or supply chain analytics Ideal Candidate 1.
