Sales Automation Engineer

We're looking for a freelance automation engineer to help us build AI-enhanced lead prospecting systems and lead intelligence platforms for our clients. You'll own automations end-to-end - designing, building, running, and monitoring them - and turn raw client inputs into campaigns that actually ship. This is a builder role, not a configurator role: we need someone who works below the no-code layer, not just inside it. What you'll need: - Strong hands-on experience with data enrichment, API integration, public-data collection, and workflow automation. - You know your way around tools like n8n, Clay, Instantly/Smartlead, Apollo, Airtable, and Notion. - Comfort with databases and code: Supabase/Postgres, SQL, and custom JS/JSON. You've worked below the no-code layer and can build what the marketplace tools can't. - A proven track record designing, building, running, and error-checking multiple automations in parallel without dropping quality. - Comfort working directly with client data - ICP definitions, onboarding forms, CRMs - and turning it into working campaigns. - Sharp independent problem-solving: you diagnose blockers and resolve them fast, without hand-holding. - Relentless attention to detail. This is non-negotiable; bad data and silent failures are the fastest way to lose a client's trust. Who thrives here: - Background in RevOps, growth engineering, or GTM automation, ideally with agency or B2B SaaS exposure. - Obsessed with efficiency and experimentation - you build systems designed to be reused across clients, not one-offs. - Comfortable in ambiguity; you deliver high-quality work without waiting for detailed instructions. - A proactive communicator who shares progress constantly, asks questions early, and voices disagreement rather than sitting on it. - Previous experience with sales intelligence and lead generation is a major plus.
