Senior React Native Developer for React Native Wrapper Development

We are seeking a Senior React Native Developer with deep expertise in writing custom native wrappers and bridges for both iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java). In this role, your primary objective will be to architect, develop, and maintain a robust React Native wrapper for the Zendesk SDK, enabling seamless, high-performance Zendesk Chat and Support functionality within an existing mobile app development environment. The nature of the mobile app is am Ecommence, supermarket, grocery mobile application, designed to support integration for the purpose of harmonzing their current system. Key Responsibilities Bridge & Wrapper Development: Design, build, and maintain high-performance React Native wrappers and native bridges (NativeModules) to expose iOS and Android Zendesk SDK functionalities to the React Native layer. SDK Integration: Successfully integrate, configure, and optimize the Zendesk SDK (specifically Zendesk Chat, Messaging, and Support) into our existing core React Native architecture. Cross-Platform Architecture: Ensure UI/UX consistency and feature parity for the Zendesk chat experience across both iOS and Android platforms. Performance Optimization: Debug and resolve complex issues related to native memory leaks, thread management, and lifecycle differences between React Native and native OS environments. Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with the core mobile engineering team, product managers, and UI/UX designers. Document the wrapper architecture and clear API contracts for other frontend developers to consume. Technical Requirements & Qualifications Must-Haves: Experience: 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with at least 3+ years focused heavily on React Native. Native Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience writing native code for iOS (Swift/Objective-C) AND Android (Kotlin/Java). You must know how to navigate Xcode and Android Studio comfortably. Bridge Mastery: Proven track record of building custom React Native Native Modules or wrappers for third-party SDKs from scratch. Zendesk Experience: Demonstrated experience integrating and customizing the Zendesk SDK (Chat/Support) within a mobile application environment. Nice-to-Haves: Experience working on high-traffic, large-scale E-commerce or Grocery apps. Familiarity with React Native's New Architecture (TurboModules, Fabric). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
