AI-Native Remix/React Developer for Secure Azeva E-Commerce Launch

I’m hiring an AI-native full-stack developer to help finish, clean up, and harden Azeva, a custom skincare e-commerce site. This is a real production e-commerce project, not a simple template site. The stack includes Remix, React, Vercel, Prisma, Neon Postgres, Stripe checkout/webhooks, Resend email, GitHub, and custom admin tooling. I’m looking for someone who uses AI tools seriously but still thinks like an engineer: reads the code, verifies output, writes clean PRs, tests changes, explains tradeoffs, and does not break production. Important AI tooling requirement: You must already have a paid Codex/ChatGPT plan or a paid Claude plan, ideally the $100-$200/month tier. Having both is strongly preferred. If you only have one, that is okay for the trial period. After 2 successful weeks, I may subsidize the missing second tool. Work style and security requirements: - All hours must be tracked through the Upwork Desktop App - No manual time logs - Initial work sessions require Discord screen share - All screens/monitors must be visible during sensitive setup or access work - Work must happen through GitHub branches and pull requests - No direct pushes to main/production - No production database access unless explicitly approved - No production secrets shared unless absolutely necessary - Access will be limited and staged at first - You must be comfortable explaining your process while working - I may ask for identity, location, education, work-history, portfolio, and reference verification before granting sensitive access What I need help with: - Review and clean up the existing codebase - Improve launch readiness - Fix bugs safely - Harden checkout, webhooks, email, admin, and database flows - Improve responsive/mobile UX - Add features only after the foundation is stable - Write or update tests where needed - Use AI tools to move faster while still verifying everything carefully Ideal background: - Strong React experience - Remix or similar full-stack React framework experience - Prisma/Postgres experience - Stripe checkout and webhook experience - Vercel deployment experience - E-commerce experience - Good communication - Security-conscious workflow - Comfortable with PR-only development This starts as a paid trial at $10/hr.
