Full-Stack Developer to Customize & Deploy Fleetbase (Laravel / Flutter / Docker)

About the Project: We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to customize and deploy Fleetbase (the open-source logistics platform) and tailor it specifically for a Trucking and Heavy Freight business. This is a medium-sized project (planned for 3 to 6 months) with a strong potential to convert into a long-term, full-time position for the right talent. We need an expert who can dive deep into the open-source codebase, handle reverse engineering efficiently, customize the workflows for truck management, and white-label the mobile apps for our truck drivers. Key Deliverables & Customizations Required: 1 Fleet & Truck Management (Laravel Backend): Add custom fields and entities for truck-specific data (e.g., maximum payload capacity, axle weight, truck types, fuel consumption tracking, and maintenance logs). 2 Driver App Customization (Flutter Mobile App): Rebrand, white-label, and optimize the Fleetbase Navigator app for truck drivers. Ensure smooth route navigation, offline capabilities, and digital Proof of Delivery (PoD) or waybill uploads. 3 Truck Routing & Mapping Integration: Modify mapping features to calculate routes suitable for heavy trucks (avoiding low bridges, weight-restricted roads, or restricted zones) using specialized routing APIs if necessary. 4 DevOps & AWS Deployment: Securely containerize and deploy the entire customized ecosystem using Docker on AWS infrastructure. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in customizing and extending complex open-source platforms (Direct experience with Fleetbase is a huge plus). Strong backend mastery in Laravel and API development. Solid mobile development experience with Flutter (including publishing to App Store & Google Play). Hands-on experience with Docker and AWS cloud deployment. Previous experience building or customizing Trucking, Logistics, or Fleet Management systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with a "Ship-it" (product-delivery) mindset.
