DevOps / Technical Operations Engineer

Title: Technical Operations Engineer / QA & Deployment Support (PHP / CodeIgniter / GitHub / VPS) We are building a large hospitality operations platform and are looking for a highly responsive Technical Operations Engineer to support our active multi-developer environment. This role combines: - technical operations - deployment support - QA/testing - GitHub coordination - troubleshooting - developer support - server management This is NOT just a coding role. We need someone dependable, operationally minded, technically capable, and highly responsive throughout the day. Core Responsibilities: - Deploy developer code to staging/testing servers - Pull and manage code from GitHub repositories - Troubleshoot deployment and environment issues - Support PHP / CodeIgniter application environments - Manage VPS/server operations and configurations - Assist with testing and QA verification - Run audits and identify issues before production deployment - Provide developers with bug reports, feedback, and testing notes - Help developers troubleshoot issues directly on the server - Monitor platform stability after deployments - Coordinate through WhatsApp with developers and project leadership - Help maintain organized technical workflows and operational continuity Required Skills: - PHP - CodeIgniter - GitHub - Linux server management - VPS hosting environments - MySQL - Apache/server troubleshooting - Strong troubleshooting ability - QA/testing experience - Comfortable working with multiple developers simultaneously Ideal Candidate: - Highly responsive throughout the day - Comfortable monitoring WhatsApp regularly - Flexible schedule and adaptable mindset - Able to work independently without constant supervision - Strong communicator - Organized and operationally reliable - Comfortable troubleshooting live environments - Able to support fast-moving development environments Preferred: - Pakistan timezone or nearby timezone - Experience supporting remote developer teams - Experience deploying PHP applications from GitHub - Familiarity with staging vs production workflows - Experience performing QA/testing before release Important: We are looking for someone long-term who can become part of the operational backbone of the platform.
