Build the MVP for Shiparoo – A Next-Generation Shipping Platform

About Shiparoo Shiparoo is building a modern shipping platform that helps individuals and small businesses compare shipping rates, purchase labels, and manage shipments from a single, easy-to-use application. Think of it as a modern, user-friendly shipping platform similar in concept to Pirate Ship or Shippo, but focused on simplicity, speed, and customer experience. We are looking for a highly experienced Full Stack Developer to become one of the first technical contributors to the platform. Project Scope This is an MVP build that will eventually scale into a commercial SaaS platform. The first phase includes building: Customer account creation/login Shipping quote engine Carrier rate comparison Shipping label purchasing Shipment tracking Dashboard Admin portal Payment processing Email notifications Future API integrations Primary Responsibilities You will own the technical development of Shiparoo's MVP including: Frontend development Backend API development Database architecture Authentication Carrier integrations Payment integrations Deployment Documentation Security Testing Technical Stack Preferred experience with: Frontend React Next.js TypeScript Tailwind CSS Backend Node.js Express NestJS (preferred but optional) Database PostgreSQL Prisma ORM Cloud Vercel AWS Cloudflare Authentication Clerk Auth0 NextAuth Payments Stripe Email SendGrid Resend Storage AWS S3 Deployment GitHub GitHub Actions CI/CD Shipping API Experience (Highly Preferred) Experience integrating one or more of the following: EasyPost Shippo ShipEngine UPS APIs FedEx APIs USPS APIs DHL APIs Regional carrier APIs If you have built shipping software before, please provide examples.
