I am building a lightweight personal health data system and need help creating a reliable, low-maintenance workflow.
Success for this project means creating a system that reliably preserves historical and ongoing health data with minimal manual effort. I am more interested in a simple, durable solution than a sophisticated one. Please avoid proposing unnecessarily complex architectures unless there is a clear benefit.
Current setup:
* Garmin wearable
* Oura ring
* Android / Health Connect
* Google Sheets
* ChatGPT
* Some experience with Python and automation already
Goals:
1. Import historical Garmin and Oura health data into Google Sheets
2. Create a reliable automated daily append process
3. Preserve longitudinal historical data (months/years)
4. Create simple trend summaries usable with ChatGPT for health analysis
5. Minimize maintenance and cognitive overhead
Important:
* I do NOT want an overengineered system
* Reliability and simplicity matter more than fancy dashboards
* Looking for practical systems thinking
* Prefer someone comfortable with APIs, Python, Google Sheets, Apps Script, Zapier/Make, or health data integrations
* Screenshare collaboration preferred initially
This will likely begin as a small paid test project (2–4 hours), then potentially continue longer-term if a good fit.
