DESCRIPTION:
We run a healthcare practice website (WordPress + Elementor, hosted on Cloudways). Almost every interior page has suddenly started rendering our blog index instead of its own content. We have already done extensive troubleshooting with Cloudways support and exhausted the standard fixes — this is past surface-level work. We need a proven senior WordPress engineer who will get hands-on in the server, logs, and database and resolve this quickly and correctly. This is urgent: it is the public front door of a medical practice.
THE SYMPTOMS:
The homepage and the blog page render correctly.
Nearly every other page (schedule, about-type pages, service pages, contact, etc.) renders the blog index instead of its own content.
On the broken pages, the page title and canonical URL both come back as the blog — i.e., WordPress is resolving these URLs to the posts/blog query at the routing level, not just visually.
The actual page content is intact in the WordPress editor — something is overriding what is displayed, live.
The Elementor editor will not load (hangs indefinitely); Elementor Safe Mode also hangs.
One page is still being served by our old website platform (Roya), indicating the prior migration / DNS is not fully cut over.
WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY TRIED / RULED OUT (please don't suggest these):
Confirmed in incognito — not a browser/login cache issue.
WordPress Reading settings verified (Posts page and blog slug are correct).
Checked Rank Math for redirects — none relevant.
Resaved permalinks; host also reset the permalink structure.
Purged the caching plugin (AirLift), purged specific URLs, then disabled it.
Host flushed all server-side Varnish cache — still renders the blog.
Found and renamed duplicate/malformed "Schedule" pages.
Removed the Elementor Theme Builder Archive template's display condition — no effect.
Host confirms the wrong render is generated live by the application, not served from cache.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:
Find and fix the root cause of the sitewide "blog on every page" routing/query issue (rewrite rules, .htaccess, query hooks, plugin or theme conflict, DB options).
Get the Elementor editor loading again (likely server-side: PHP memory/timeout, logs).
Finish the migration cleanup so the domain is fully on the current host (no pages served by the old Roya platform).
Investigate and rule out (or address) any security/compromise angle — our host's scanner flagged a possible detection, but it is unconfirmed and may be unrelated. Please verify; do not assume it is the cause.
Restore normal rendering across all pages and confirm with us.
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE (please show evidence):
Senior WordPress troubleshooting at the code, server, and database level — not just the dashboard.
WordPress routing/rewrite/query internals and Elementor.
Cloudways / managed hosting (Nginx + Apache, Varnish, .htaccess, staging).
Site migration / DNS cleanup.
WordPress security/hardening experience (a plus).
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF:
You plan to reply with a generic troubleshooting checklist or AI-generated list of steps. We have already worked through the standard playbook with our host and an AI assistant — that stage is done. This needs a hands-on human expert with server access and judgment.
TO APPLY:
Start your proposal with the word ROUTING so we know you read this.
Briefly describe one specific badly-misconfigured or broken WordPress site you personally recovered, and how.
Give your initial read on what is most likely happening here and how you would confirm it.
Note your availability to start (this is urgent) and your rate.
ACCESS & LOGISTICS:
Full access available to the right person: Cloudways, WordPress admin, SFTP/DB.
A detailed technical brief of everything found so far will be shared with the selected expert so you start at full speed.
