Frontend Engineer with Test Automation Focus

The project is a complex software implementation project for an international enterprise in the energy sector (Power plants and electrical grids) and we are looking for a skilled Frontend and Test Automation Engineer with a strong focus on building robust, maintainable, and high-quality web applications and test frameworks. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in frontend development and modern JavaScript frameworks. Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript is required, with a strong preference for Angular; experience with React, Vue, or similar frameworks is also acceptable. In addition, the role requires solid expertise in end-to-end test automation. Experience with Playwright is preferred, though candidates with Cypress or comparable tools are also considered. The candidate should be capable of designing reusable, maintainable, and stable test suites, as well as managing test data and mock data effectively to ensure reliable test execution. A basic understanding of DevOps practices is expected, particularly in areas such as CI/CD integration (e.g., GitLab pipelines) and containerization using Docker. Beyond technical skills, strong analytical thinking is essential. The candidate should be able to perform root cause analysis and distinguish between different types of test failures (e.g., identifying whether a failure is caused by a defect, unstable test, or external factors such as slow APIs). Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required to ensure effective communication within an international team environment.
