Build an MVP for a B2B Decision Automation SaaS Overview I’m looking for an experienced full-stack developer (or a small team) to build the first MVP of a B2B SaaS platform. The business logic behind the product has already been designed. This is not an AI project. The platform makes decisions using predefined business rules based on user inputs. The objective is to build an MVP that is clean, scalable, and designed with future growth in mind. ⸻ The Problem Many businesses need to make complex operational and compliance decisions. Those decisions usually require specialist knowledge, take time, and are often inconsistent when handled manually. The purpose of this platform is to automate those decisions through a structured workflow, allowing users to receive consistent and reliable outcomes within minutes. ⸻ The MVP The application should guide users through a dynamic question flow. Based on their responses, the system should: * Determine the correct outcome using predefined business rules. * Explain how the decision was reached. * Display the supporting references and required documentation. * Generate a professional PDF report. * Store every assessment for future access. * Provide user authentication and subscription management. The platform should be intuitive enough for non-technical business users. ⸻ What I’m Looking For I’m looking for someone who can think beyond implementation. Rather than simply building what I describe, I want your recommendation for the best technical approach. I’m open to: * Custom development * Low-code or no-code solutions * Hybrid architectures If you believe there is a better way to achieve the same objective, I’d like to hear your reasoning. ⸻ Technical Expectations The solution should be designed so that: * Business rules can be expanded without major redevelopment. * The decision engine remains easy to maintain as the number of rules grows. * New decision workflows can be added in the future. * Performance remains fast even with larger rule sets. * The architecture supports future features without requiring a complete rebuild. I care more about a solid architecture than about choosing a specific technology stack. ⸻ Please Include in Your Proposal 1. How would you architect this MVP? 2. Which technologies would you choose, and why? 3. How would you design the decision engine? 4. How would you make the platform easy to maintain as business rules increase? 5. Estimated timeline. 6. Estimated budget. 7. Examples of similar SaaS products, workflow systems, rule engines, or decision automation platforms you have built. 8. If you were starting this project today, what would you do differently from a typical MVP? ⸻ Nice to Have Experience with one or more of the following: * Rule engines * Workflow automation * Decision trees * Business process automation * SaaS architecture * Subscription platforms * PDF generation * Audit logging ⸻ Important note: The decision engine must be data-driven rather than hard-coded. Business rules should be stored in a configurable format (e.g., database tables or JSON), allowing them to be added, modified, or maintained without rewriting the application’s core logic.
