I am the solo founder of a live AI SaaS product (FlowVolt) and I am looking for
a founding engineer to build it with me. This is an ownership role, not a gig.
WHAT THIS IS
You own the product engineering. You are not taking tickets, you are building
and shaping the product with me and, as we grow, hiring and leading the
engineers under you. This comes with equity. It is a real stake in the company,
not a freelance contract.
WHAT THE PRODUCT IS
An AI platform for agencies. It reads a company's website, then composes and
runs AI agents that draft real work in that company's voice, with a separate
model that verifies every output before a human sees it. Already live in
production. The goal is to build this into a category-defining company.
THE STACK (you must be strong here)
- Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript
- Vercel, Supabase (Postgres) with Drizzle
- Anthropic API (Messages API, tool use) via the Vercel AI Gateway
- Clerk (auth), Stripe (billing), Tailwind
WHAT YOU OWN
- The product engineering, end to end
- The AI agent pipelines: prompting, structured output, streaming, evals,
reliability
- Architecture decisions, with me
- Building and leading the engineering team as we scale
WHAT I EXPECT
- Senior. You have shipped real production apps, not just demos.
- Real production experience with an LLM API (Anthropic or OpenAI).
- You move fast, communicate clearly, give honest estimates, and own outcomes.
- You think like a builder and a partner, not a contractor.
THE OFFER
- Equity in the company (founding-engineer level).
- Salary starts when first revenue starts.
- We define scope and terms together after a short paid working trial, so we
both know it fits before we commit.
HOW SERIOUS THIS IS
Completely. The product is live and going to market now. I am looking for one
person to own the build with me for the long run.
TO APPLY, SEND ME
1. Two or three production apps you have shipped (links or repos), ideally
Next.js with an AI API.
2. One real story: a feature you shipped with an LLM API in production, and what
was hard about it.
3. One line on why an ownership role, not just paid work, is what you want right
now.
No generic proposals. Tell me one specific thing about how you would approach
this and I will know you actually read it.
