Azure DevOps Engineer Needed for CI/CD Pipeline Setup & Cloud Infrastructure Automation

We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building automated deployment workflows, managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable release processes. This is not a basic setup task, we need someone who can architect a robust DevOps pipeline from the ground up (or improve an existing one), troubleshoot deployment issues, and recommend best practices aligned with modern cloud-native development. Scope of Work Design and configure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards) Set up build and release pipelines for multiple environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production) Implement Infrastructure as Code using ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform Configure and manage Azure resources: App Services, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks Set up containerization and orchestration workflows (Docker, Kubernetes) Implement automated testing, code quality gates, and security scanning within pipelines Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics) Manage secrets and credentials securely using Azure Key Vault Set up role-based access control (RBAC) and DevOps security best practices Optimize existing pipelines for speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency Document architecture, workflows, and runbooks for the internal team Requirements Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps Services (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts) Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates) Experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration (AKS/Kubernetes) Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python Experience integrating third-party tools (SonarQube, security scanners, testing frameworks) into pipelines Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure (Azure AD, RBAC, VNETs) Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot pipeline/deployment failures independently Good communication skills and ability to document processes clearly Nice to Have Azure certifications (AZ-400, AZ-104, or AZ-303/304) Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud setups Familiarity with GitOps practices Experience with cost optimization on Azure To Apply, Please Include A brief overview of your experience with Azure DevOps and cloud infrastructure automation Example(s) of CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure projects you've built (links, case studies, or a short description) Your experience with Infrastructure as Code — which tools you've used and how Relevant certifications, if any Your availability and estimated timeline for this project Any clarifying questions about scope Project Details Engagement type: Hourly USD 25 Estimated duration: ongoing Start date: Immediate Next Steps Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a short call to discuss the current infrastructure, project scope, and timeline before we proceed with an offer.
