# Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer ## Overview We're looking for a highly technical Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to help design and build production-grade predictive machine learning systems. This is not a research-only role. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving difficult real-world prediction problems using large-scale historical and real-time datasets. The work involves identifying meaningful signals, designing features, selecting the right models, and building reliable production systems that continuously improve over time. ## What You'll Be Working On Examples of the types of prediction problems include: * Predicting future market behavior * Forecasting demand * Predicting price movements * Identifying leading indicators * Building ranking and scoring models * Detecting patterns within large datasets We're looking for someone who can think beyond simply training models—you should be comfortable designing the entire prediction pipeline from raw data to production. ## Responsibilities * Build and improve machine learning models * Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets * Perform feature engineering and signal selection * Evaluate model performance and improve accuracy * Design scalable data pipelines for production models * Work closely with engineers to deploy prediction systems * Recommend the best approaches for different prediction problems ## Required Skills * Strong Python * Machine Learning * Data Science * SQL * Statistics * Feature Engineering * Time-Series Forecasting * Classification & Regression * Experience working with large datasets * Production ML experience ## Ideal Background We're especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following: * Quantitative Trading * Algorithmic Trading * Dynamic Pricing * Demand Forecasting * Revenue Management * Marketplace Analytics * Financial Modeling * Sports Betting or Odds Modeling ## What We're Looking For Someone who enjoys solving difficult quantitative problems and building systems that work in production—not just notebooks. Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and practical engineering skills are far more important than specific degrees or industries. ## To Apply Please answer the following: 1. Briefly introduce yourself. 2. Describe the most challenging production machine learning system you've built. 3. Have you worked on forecasting, pricing, market prediction, or other quantitative prediction problems? Please describe. 4. What machine learning frameworks and tools do you use most frequently? 5. Include links to GitHub, Kaggle, publications, or technical projects if available. This has the potential to become a long-term engagement for the right person. DONT APPLY IF YOUR AN AGENCY, We are looking to build a relationship with a freelancer
