Senior Developer & Automations Specialist (Part-Time or Contract)

We're looking for a senior-level web developer with strong design sensibility and hands-on automation experience to support website builds, migrations, ongoing website improvements, and business process automation. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently work across both development and design while also connecting platforms and streamlining workflows using tools like Zapier and other automation platforms. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, thinks critically, and proactively recommends better solutions while collaborating effectively with stakeholders and project requirements. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, visual design judgment, automation experience, and strong communication skills to help our team deliver polished websites and efficient internal systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Build, update, maintain, and troubleshoot websites primarily in WordPress and occasionally in Webflow or other CMS platforms - Lead full-site migrations from platforms such as WordPress, GoHighLevel, Webflow, and similar systems - Work with custom-coded websites, including projects built with Node.js, MongoDB, and similar technologies - Design and implement website layouts, landing pages, and page structures with strong attention to user experience and visual presentation - Build and maintain automations using Zapier and similar platforms - Connect and optimize workflows between platforms such as Asana, Slack, Google Drive, CRMs, forms, email marketing systems, and other business tools - Troubleshoot backend issues, optimize website performance, and ensure site stability - Evaluate requests and proactively recommend better design, UX, or technical solutions when appropriate - Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders while providing clear communication and progress updates - Independently solve technical challenges and identify opportunities to improve processes and systems WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 5+ years of professional web development experience - Strong WordPress experience, including builds, maintenance, troubleshooting, migrations, and customizations - Proven experience designing and building professional websites or landing pages - Strong eye for layout, spacing, typography, visual hierarchy, and overall user experience - Experience building automations and connecting multiple business platforms through Zapier or similar automation tools - Experience integrating systems such as Asana, Slack, Google Drive, CRMs, forms, marketing platforms, and other business applications - Strong understanding of databases, hosting environments, and technical architecture - Ability to work independently and confidently make recommendations based on best practices - Comfortable raising concerns and recommending alternative approaches when a requested solution may create design, UX, or technical issues - Strong written and verbal English communication skills - High attention to detail and commitment to quality - Availability to overlap a few hours per day with US hours, specifically between 9AM–5PM CST (with 11AM–2PM CST being the most critical overlap window) NICE-TO-HAVE - Experience with GoHighLevel, Webflow, Hostinger, GoDaddy, and similar website or marketing platforms - Experience working in an agency or client-facing environment - Experience creating conversion-focused websites and landing pages - Familiarity with GitHub, version control systems, and deployment workflows - Experience documenting processes, automations, and technical systems IMPORTANT NOTES - We value professionals who evaluate requirements thoughtfully and contribute recommendations when appropriate. - We value developers who think critically, identify potential design, UX, or technical issues, and proactively recommend better solutions. - If a requested implementation may result in user experience, design, or technical challenges, we value team members who communicate those concerns clearly and propose alternative approaches. - Strong candidates will demonstrate ownership, confidence in their expertise, and the ability to collaborate as a strategic partner while remaining receptive to feedback and project goals. - We highly value initiative and proactive communication. A few hours of daily overlap during US business hours is highly preferred.
