Fractional Tech Lead / DevSecOps Architect for Fintech (Bilingual English/Spanish)

Note: Native or fluent Spanish is strictly required for this role as you will be mentoring a LATAM-based in-house developer. We are a growing Fintech company in Latin America. We currently have an in-house developer responsible for daily implementation, and we are looking for a Fractional Senior Cloud Architect / Tech Lead (approx. 5-10 hours/week) to lead our technical governance. Confidentiality Note: Due to financial sector policies, specific details of the architecture and repositories will only be shared under a strict NDA. Tech Stack: Backend: Laravel (PHP) + PostgreSQL. Cloud: AWS (Serverless Framework, Node.js Lambdas, SES, Textract, Rekognition). Frontend: Angular. Phase 1: Audit & Hardening (First 15 days) Implement "Least Privilege" (IAM) policies in AWS. Audit and standardize secrets management (migration to Secrets Manager). Resolve performance bottlenecks (N+1 queries) and standardize deployments. Phase 2: Technical Governance & Code Review (Ongoing) Act as a Mandatory Reviewer for Pull Requests (PRs). No code goes to production without your OWASP security validation. Mentor and review the work of our in-house developer. Requirements: 7+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture and Software Development.
