Tech Lead LLM

Tech Lead (LLM) – Full-Time, Long-Term We’re supporting a fast-scaling tech company building a large-scale conversational AI product used by millions of users globally. They are looking for a Tech Lead (LLM) to lead a small team (3 engineers) and take ownership of the architecture, training, and deployment of core AI models in production. This is a hands-on role with real product impact not research-focused. Key Responsibilities -Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers while remaining hands-on in the codebase -Own end-to-end model lifecycle (prompting, fine-tuning, optimization, deployment) -Optimize real-time AI systems (latency, context handling, memory/RAG) -Build and improve moderation and classification systems in a complex environment -Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, infrastructure) Tech Requirements (Most Important) -8+ years software engineering experience -Strong experience shipping ML / LLM products at scale -Proficiency in Python and PyTorch -Experience with modern LLM stack: HuggingFace vLLM (or similar inference frameworks) Fine-tuning pipelines (SFT, RLHF, DPO) Evaluation frameworks Strong understanding of: Prompting strategies Model behavior (temperature, sampling, alignment) RAG / memory systems Additional Requirements Experience working with high-scale, real-time systems Strong ownership mindset and product thinking Ability to balance speed vs quality in production Comfortable working in complex content environments
