We have a fully built WordPress site using Elementor. We're experiencing a specific mobile menu bug that we haven't been able to reproduce on any of our own devices or browser simulations, but one of our users is consistently seeing it on their iPhone.
The Issue
- On Chrome (iOS): After closing the mobile menu without selecting anything, the menu reappears briefly when the user first starts to scroll.
- On Safari (iOS): After closing the mobile menu without selecting anything, the page scroll locks completely and the user cannot scroll at all.
This is only happening on one specific device. Neither myself nor my developer have been able to reproduce it on any device or emulator.
What We've Tried
- Rebuilt the mobile menu outside of the Elementor Canvas — issue persists
- Tested on multiple devices and browser simulations — cannot reproduce
What We're Looking For
- Someone with solid WordPress + Elementor experience who has dealt with mobile menu scroll locking or menu reappear-on-scroll bugs before. We suspect there may be a JavaScript conflict or something in the code that's incompatible with a specific iOS/browser combination.
I'll share the website URL so you can inspect the code directly. This should be a focused debugging task — identify the root cause and implement a clean fix. After hiring, i can share the access to wordpress + the FTP files.
If you've seen this kind of issue before and know what causes it, I'd love to hear from you.
Also, please start your message with the 🧊 ice cube emoji so that I know you've thoroughly read this job description and can follow the most basic instruction.
