Web Automation Developer (Python/Playwright) – Ongoing Remote Role

Project Overview: I am looking for a reliable and skilled Web Automation Developer for an ongoing, part-time remote position. The goal is to build, optimize, and maintain a custom automation software/script to streamline a time-sensitive daily data entry and web booking workflow. Once the system is fully built and set up, the workload will be very relaxed with no pressure—only about 2 days of work per week for routine checks and maintenance. Your main task is to build the initial tool, install it on my local machine, and then provide relaxed part-time support. Key Responsibilities: Custom Software Development: Develop a local automation script using Python, Playwright, Selenium, or Node.js. Automated Data Entry: Implement functionality to automatically extract text/data from uploaded PDF files and accurately auto-fill online forms. Manual Intervention Support: Ensure the script can seamlessly pause for manual input (like entering CAPTCHA or OTP) and then immediately resume the automated flow. Time-Sensitive Execution: Optimize the tool to navigate pages and submit forms extremely fast during high-traffic daily booking windows. Routine Maintenance (2 Days/Week): Once the system is running smoothly, workload drops significantly to roughly 2 days a week of light monitoring and updates. Local Setup: Install and configure the tool directly on my local Windows machine via remote desktop (AnyDesk/TeamViewer). Required Skills & Experience: Strong expertise in Web Automation and Browser Scripting. Proven experience with data extraction and PDF parsing. Ability to write clean, fast, and stable code that a non-technical user can run easily. Punctual and reliable for low-pressure, ongoing maintenance tasks. Job Type: Part-Time / Remote (Ongoing) Expected Hours: Initial setup required, followed by a relaxed schedule of ~2 days per week for ongoing support. Payment Terms: This is a part-time position paid on a fixed monthly retainer of $100 USD/month. Phase 1 (Proof of Work): We will start with a paid test milestone. You must build the script, install it locally on my PC, and prove it works smoothly on a live test. Phase 2 (Ongoing): Once proven, we will transition to the fixed monthly payment structure for your ongoing part-time support (approx. 2 days of work per week with zero pressure).
