Expert WordPress Developer for Ongoing Technical Support, Customization, and Optimization

We are looking for an expert-level WordPress developer to support ongoing website development, technical troubleshooting, optimization, and custom implementation work across WordPress-based projects. This role is for someone who can work confidently inside existing WordPress websites, solve problems independently, and handle both frontend and backend work with clean, maintainable code. What you’ll be doing Handle advanced WordPress development and technical support tasks Troubleshoot and resolve plugin conflicts, theme issues, and performance problems Build and customize functionality using custom PHP, JavaScript, CSS, hooks, and filters Work on WooCommerce improvements, checkout flow updates, and custom business logic Implement and maintain custom plugins, integrations, and API-based workflows Improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall technical performance Work with staging environments, backups, migrations, and production-safe deployments Review and optimize plugin usage to reduce bloat and improve reliability Support responsive frontend fixes and structured UI improvements Document changes clearly and communicate progress consistently Required Skills Strong WordPress development experience Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL skills Experience with WooCommerce and custom checkout/business logic Experience with custom themes, child themes, and plugin customization Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability Experience with page builders such as Elementor, Beaver Builder, Gutenberg, or similar Familiarity with performance optimization, caching, and security hardening Git/version control experience Ability to work safely on live and staging environments Nice to Have ACF and Custom Post Type experience REST API and third-party API integration experience Membership/LMS plugin experience Experience with hosting platforms, DNS, CDN, and Cloudflare Familiarity with analytics/tracking setup such as GA4, Meta Pixel, GTM Experience with migrations and technical audits Ideal Candidate Senior/expert WordPress developer with strong hands-on experience Comfortable taking ownership of technical work without constant supervision Can diagnose issues properly rather than applying quick fixes blindly Communicates clearly and works in a structured way Focused on clean code, long-term maintainability, and reliable delivery To Apply Please include: A short summary of your WordPress experience Examples of advanced WordPress/WooCommerce projects you have worked on Your experience with custom plugins, APIs, and troubleshooting Your hourly rate Your availability per week
