Job Description:
We are looking for a sharp, efficient full-stack developer to implement two specific backend modules for an established data-dashboard web application.
The core application architecture, database structure, and data ingestion pipelines are already fully built, live, and operational. Your job is simply to connect to our existing environment and deploy two lightweight, production-ready modules.
Further details about the platform, specific niche, and codebase will be shared under NDA during the private interview phase with ideal applicants.
Scope of Work:
Task 1: Streamlined PostHog Analytics Event Instrumentation
The master PostHog library is already installed on the frontend. We need you to write the backend event hooks to capture and pass raw data parameters for four specific items:
1. Search Input Logic: Capture raw text strings typed into a search input so we can aggregate them into an internal "Top 50" trend table.
2. User List Interactions: Track when a user adds or removes items from a personalized list view.
3. Conversion Tracking: Instrument basic event logs for account sign-ups and premium plan tier upgrades.
4. Traffic Attribution: Capture incoming URL traffic parameters (UTM/source links) to accurately track marketing campaign performance.
(Note: You only need to write the event hooks to feed the raw data to PostHog. You do not need to build complex custom visual interfaces on our platform).
Task 2: Programmatic Social Media Alert Bot
Build a simple, automated script that runs on our server, hooks into our existing database, and utilizes a standard social media platform API (X/Twitter) wrapper to automatically post automated metric updates and ranking changes at scheduled intervals.
Requirements:
• Proven experience with Node.js, Python, or standard backend database queries.
• Direct experience integrating PostHog or Mixpanel event tracking.
• Experience working with standard web developer APIs.
• Highly efficient communicator who can jump into an existing, well-organized codebase and ship clean code within 48–72 hours.
