Full-Stack Developer & Automation Engineer — Sharetribe + Integrations

We're a marketplace built on Sharetribe, currently in re branding phase with a lot of product upgrades. We currently use several tools (sharetribe, send grid, hubspot, zapper and others) to create automations and other features to send client communications, create features and data communications between the different platforms. We are now looking for someone to take over those automations and help continue building them per the business needs. Scope isn't 100% fixed; you'll work with our project manager on tasks, criteria and prioritisation. We're looking for someone technical and self-directed who can take a loosely-defined need, figure out the right approach, build it, and document it so it lives in our accounts, not their head. Examples of What you'll work on: Sharetribe development: build new features, fix bugs, and maintain our Sharetribe-based website (React / Node), working with the Sharetribe Marketplace and Integration APIs. Integrations & automation: connect Google Sheets, HubSpot, Sharetribe, and others so data and actions flow between them — e.g. a row updated in Sheets updates a HubSpot record. You'll decide when to use code vs. a tool like Zapier/Make. Event-driven communications: trigger emails (via SendGrid API), WhatsApp, and other messages off Sharetribe events. Includes our Cue setup, where Sharetribe events trigger client messages and inbound WhatsApp replies need to reflect back into Sharetribe (two-way). Data & scripting: write and run scripts to update, migrate, and investigate data, and pull answers when we need to understand what's going on. You probably fit if you have Strong JavaScript / Node.js and React. Solid experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and auth (API keys, OAuth) — comfortable reading docs for a tool you've never touched and integrating it. Experience with automation platforms (Zapier and/or Make) and good judgment on code vs. no-code. Some HubSpot experience (workflows and/or API). A self-directed working style and comfort with ambiguity — you can scope a vague request into a plan. We use LINEAR to track tasks progress and communication. Clear documentation habits and a clean handoff (work stays in our accounts). Bonus points for Direct Sharetribe (Flex) experience — a significant plus. SendGrid, WhatsApp Business API, or Cue experience. Logistics Remote, but you must work Lisbon time (WET/WEST) — daily standup-style check-ins with our project manager.
