Senior Forward Deployed Engineer AI

About Us We are building an AI-first venture studio that launches consumer brands rapidly across health, wellness and lifestyle. Our goal is to automate every repeatable part of building and operating a company. Rather than building software for a single business, you will build the operating system that powers multiple brands. This is a founding engineering role with significant ownership and influence over our technical direction. The Role Your mission is simple: Automate everything that does not require founder judgement. You will work directly with the founder to design, build and deploy AI systems that improve speed, quality and operational efficiency. You will spend less time writing isolated features and more time solving end-to-end business problems. Responsibilities AI Systems * Build production AI agents using modern LLMs * Develop multi-agent workflows * Create internal AI copilots for marketing, operations, finance and customer support * Integrate AI into everyday business processes Software Engineering * Design scalable backend systems * Build internal tools and dashboards * Develop APIs and integrations * Maintain cloud infrastructure * Improve reliability, monitoring and security Business Automation * Automate customer support * Automate CRM workflows * Automate inventory and fulfilment * Automate reporting and analytics * Automate finance operations * Automate marketing workflows Founder Partnership * Work directly with the founder every day * Translate business ideas into production software quickly * Recommend better technical approaches * Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work Requirements Essential * 5+ years of professional software engineering experience * Strong Python skills * Strong TypeScript or JavaScript skills * Experience shipping production AI applications * Experience with OpenAI or comparable LLM APIs * Experience building REST APIs * SQL proficiency * AWS, Azure or Google Cloud experience * Docker and Git * Excellent communication skills * Comfortable working with ambiguity and rapid iteration Highly Desirable * LangGraph or similar agent frameworks * Model Context Protocol (MCP) * Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) * Vector databases * Workflow orchestration (n8n, Temporal or equivalent) * Shopify * HubSpot or similar CRM * Stripe * PostHog or product analytics platforms What Success Looks Like Within the first 90 days you will: * Build our internal AI Business Operating System * Reduce manual work across the business by at least 70% * Launch multiple production AI agents * Integrate our core business platforms * Deliver measurable improvements in customer experience and team productivity Ideal Candidate You are: * Highly technical * Commercially minded * Obsessed with automation * Comfortable speaking directly with customers and founders * Fast, pragmatic and focused on outcomes * Motivated by building from zero rather than maintaining legacy systems How to Apply Please include: * Your GitHub profile * Your LinkedIn profile * Examples of production AI systems you have built * A short explanation of the most technically challenging project you have delivered * A two-minute video explaining why you are the right person for this role
