Fix existing bugs and improve existing Node.js backend API

We are looking for an experienced Node.js developer to fix a few issues in our existing backend application and improve overall code quality. The project is already functional, but there are some bugs that need to be resolved along with a few performance and code structure improvements. Responsibilities: * Debug and fix existing backend issues. * Improve API performance and error handling. * Refactor code where necessary to make it cleaner and easier to maintain. * Review database queries and optimize them if needed. * Ensure the APIs work correctly with the frontend. * Write clean, well-documented, production-ready code. Required Skills: * Node.js * Express.js * JavaScript * REST APIs * PostgreSQL or MySQL * Git * Debugging and code refactoring Nice to Have: * Experience with Supabase * Basic AWS knowledge * Experience improving AI-generated code This is a small starter project with a budget of $40. If the work goes well, there will be several follow-up projects involving new features, backend development, database optimization, and full-stack enhancements.
