Full-Stack Developer: WhatsApp Workspace (AI Support Tool)

About the project We're building an internal "WhatsApp skin" for a clients account management team: a web workspace where all client WhatsApp communication comes in, and an AI layer helps our account managers draft replies, transcribe voicenotes, read photos/PDFs, keep a live to-do list, and route actions to Slack, our custom order system or anything else. You'll fully build the software, AI, connections etc. What you'll build - A web workspace that connects to WhatsApp through a read-along client (linked-device / scanning approach, NOT the Meta Business API) — one connection per number, working with group chats. - A clean, multi-tab frontend: inbox per client, conversation view, AI copilot panel, to-do list, automations, client management. - Real-time messaging (receive + send), voicenote transcription, image/document recognition, translation. - Integration with an AI layer (hosted to start) for drafts, classification, and summaries. - Slack integration: pushing supplier/internal issues to per-issue threads and syncing status back. - Custom API order system connection, pulling information from there, and make actions in the system itself. Who you are - Full-stack, AI-first developer with real coding skills under the hood (not just prompt-gluing). - Hands-on experience building a WhatsApp skin / WhatsApp integration is a strong plus — or a clear, convincing plan for how you'd execute one well (especially the read-along/linked-device approach and keeping a session alive reliably). - Comfortable owning a product end-to-end: architecture, build, testing, delivery. - AI Knowledge to build using AI, BUT also to make a custom API to handle certain actions, communication accross channels etc. - Good communication; we work closely day-to-day (WhatsApp + 1/2 weekly calls). Detailed specs are provided so you can focus on building. Nice to have / important later Python and AI knowledge. After the WhatsApp build, you'll move on to workflow automations, so this becomes important down the line. If you have it now, even better. How we work Clear task-by-task roadmap (we'll make this together), detailed workflow docs, no sprints — you build, we review per delivery via demos and testing. You report to our project lead, who coordinates everything. What is most important is that you do everything end-to-end, you're responsible for the project and testing.
