Job Title **Expert Web Developer & Security Specialist: Website Malware Cleanup & Full Server Migration (HostGator to Hostinger)** Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Web Developer / DevOps Engineer with strong cybersecurity skills to help us screen, clean, and migrate our entire web infrastructure from **HostGator to Hostinger VPS/Cloud Hosting**. Before anything is moved to the new server, a critical first phase of this project is to run a comprehensive security screening on our existing websites and completely eliminate any malware, malicious scripts, or viruses. The ideal candidate must ensure that only 100% clean, secure data is migrated to the new environment. Key Responsibilities Phase 1: Security Screening & Malware Removal (Crucial): * Scan all existing websites, directories, and databases on Hostgator for viruses, malware, malicious code injections, backdoor scripts, and vulnerabilities. * Completely clean up, quarantine, and patch the infected sites to ensure they are 100% safe. * Verify that the site is clean and not blacklisted by search engines or security protocols before proceeding with the move. Phase 2: Full Infrastructure Migration * Safely migrate all cleaned websites (including databases, files, SSL certificates, and configurations) to Hostinger. * Migrate all existing email accounts, ensuring zero data loss (all historical inbox data, folders, and archives must remain fully intact). Phase 3: DNS & Post-Migration Testing * Update MX records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and A records to point correctly to Hostinger with zero downtime or email bouncing. * Conduct thorough post-migration testing to ensure all website functionalities, contact forms, databases, and email sending/receiving capabilities work perfectly. * Implement basic security hardening on the new Hostinger server to prevent reinfection. Required Skills & Qualifications * Proven track record in website security, malware identification, and deep virus cleanup (experience with tools like Wordfence, Sucuri, Imunify360, or command-line malware scanners). * Expert experience migrating websites between cPanel (HostGator) and hPanel/VPS environments (Hostinger). * Deep understanding of email server migration protocols (IMAP/POP3) and migration tools. * Strong knowledge of WordPress/CMS architecture, MySQL databases, PHP configuration, and SSH/SFTP workflows. * Exceptional attention to data privacy, backup safety, and security best practices.
