# Front-end developer to build a one-page marketing site (deeptech PR studio) ## Overview A boutique PR studio for deeptech founders (quantum, photonics, semiconductors, autonomy, defense tech). We need a single-scroll marketing site built from an existing design system and content — this is a build job, not a design-from-scratch job. Copy, typography, color system, and a working prototype are already done; we need a developer to execute it properly (responsive, performant, production-ready) and build one specific animated hero panel. ## Scope Build a single-page site with anchor navigation: **Manifesto → Origin → Allies → Brief**. Reference prototype and full copy/layout doc will be provided. **The hero panel is the centerpiece of this job** and needs to match the style of [visionaries.vc](https://visionaries.vc/) specifically: - Full-bleed background that cycles through a set of images (founder portraits and product/hardware shots) roughly every 1–2 seconds - Each transition uses a radial zoom/motion-blur effect — not a simple crossfade — similar to the swirl-into-focus effect on visionaries.vc's homepage - A static, large headline sits on top of the carousel and does not change (tagline TBD, will be provided) - Bottom-right caption updates in sync with whichever image is currently showing (company/person name + one-line context) - Nav bar and a short manifesto paragraph (bottom-left) stay static throughout - Must be fully responsive — this is a hard requirement. (Reference prototype is a fixed 1280×800 canvas that does not resize properly; do not replicate that mistake.) Remaining sections (Origin, Allies, Brief) will follow the existing visual system (warm off-white / dark-mode toggle, JetBrains Mono + Inter Tight + Instrument Serif, signal-red accent) — layout and copy will be provided in full, less custom animation work than the hero. ## What we'll provide - Full copy and section-by-section layout doc - Existing design system reference (fonts, colors, an HTML/React prototype of the current multi-page site) - A basic static mockup of the hero's type treatment (layout reference only, not final) - Final image set (founder/product photos) with captions, already licensed for use - Final tagline copy ## What we need from you - Clean, semantic, responsive HTML/CSS/JS (or your preferred modern stack — React/Next.js is fine if it keeps the site fast and easy for a non-developer to update copy later) - The hero carousel + zoom-blur transition, built to feel as smooth as the visionaries.vc reference - Basic accessibility (readable contrast, keyboard nav, alt text) - Reasonable page-load performance despite the animated hero (optimized image loading, no jank) - Deployment-ready output — [confirm hosting target: Vercel/Netlify/static export/other] ## Skills - Strong CSS animation/transition experience (this is the main technical bar for the job — please link an example of a similarly animated hero or carousel in your portfolio) - Comfortable working from an existing design system rather than proposing a new one - Experience with responsive, editorial-style marketing sites a plus ## How to apply Please include 2–3 portfolio links, ideally something with animated image transitions or a carousel similar to what's described above.
